Why Do I Want to Change Local / GMT (UTC) Datetime?

There is an option to set the GMT or local date and time. Setting this tells LunarCal to use that date time as a reference. Essentially it tells LunarCal to go to that particular year/date time and display its calculations. Setting the date time does not affect your PC date time at all.

This option is provided to allow users to explore what if situations. For example, when did Chinese New Year fell on in the year 1966? In such a case just set the year to 1966 and leave the day / month / time as is. The time is not important in this case. Then select Display Summary and you will get the Chinese new Year calculated for that year.

In other situations, we would like to know the phase of the moon at a particular date & time. In this case, you will need to enter the exact year, day, month as well as time and then go to the Moon Compass screen to view the shape of the moon.
